This 3-day adventure offers an exhilarating blend of adrenaline-pumping activities and natural beauty as you explore two of Uganda’s most iconic destinations—Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa, and the scenic highlands of Sipi Falls. From bungee jumping over the Nile to hiking through the foothills of Mount Elgon, this trip is perfect for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike.
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Kampala as you head east to Jinja, a town nestled along the shores of Lake Victoria and the River Nile. On the way, you’ll pass through lush tea and sugarcane plantations and the Mabira Forest, one of Uganda’s largest natural rainforests.
Your first activity will be zip lining in Mabira Forest, a thrilling glide across the forest canopy that gives you a bird’s eye view of this tropical jungle. Afterward, you’ll continue to Jinja town for a series of adrenaline-packed experiences. Bungee jumping over the Nile awaits—take a leap of faith from a platform high above the river for a heart-racing free-fall.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride to the Source of the Nile, where you’ll see the exact spot where the world’s longest river begins its journey northward. Then relax and unwind with tubing on the Nile, floating gently down the calm waters or opt for an extreme version for more excitement.
In the evening, check in to your lodge overlooking the river or Lake Victoria. Enjoy a delicious dinner and relax after a day filled with action.
After breakfast, depart Jinja and begin the journey northeast to the cool highlands of Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa District. This scenic drive takes you through Mbale town and up the slopes of Mount Elgon, offering spectacular views of terraced hills, rural landscapes, and the majestic mountain itself.
Upon arrival in Sipi, you’ll check in at a comfortable lodge with views of the waterfalls or valley below. Spend your afternoon unwinding or take part in a coffee tour, where you’ll walk through local Arabica coffee farms, meet the farmers, and participate in roasting and brewing your own cup of Ugandan coffee—an unforgettable cultural experience.
As the sun sets, enjoy a peaceful evening with dinner at the lodge, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the refreshing mountain air.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast with a view before setting out on a guided hike to explore the three beautiful Sipi waterfalls. The hike takes around 3–4 hours and takes you through local villages, lush gardens, and rocky paths, offering panoramic views of the valley below. You’ll visit each of the three falls, each unique in height and force, and take in their beauty up close—perfect for photography and rejuvenation.
After your hike, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning the return journey to Kampala. You’ll arrive in the early evening, filled with memories of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery.
